NEVIS CYCLE & TRIATHLON CLUB

All of Nevis and actually all of St Kitts and Nevis owes a great hurrah and congratulations to Vannessa Williams. She completed her first ever International Marathon in San Juan on Sunday March 23rd. She came in 3rd for her age group, 40-44, in a spectacular time of 3:59-:45 and was less than 4 minutes behind the overall female winner. She did it under 4  hours!  We believe Vannessa may be the first female to represent St Kitts and Nevis in a marathon.

Many of you know Vannessa and those of  you who don't know her personally have likely seen her running around Nevis while training for the marathon. Vannessa lives in Cotton Ground with her three children and her mother. In addition to caring for her children and her aging mother who has health problems she works three days a week as a housekeeper On the days when she is not working as a housekeeper you likely have seen training for the marathon.

Great job Vannessa. We know you worked extremely hard and we all are very proud of you.
