Up and coming Triathlete Romel Gaskin has recently returned to Nevis after putting in a stellar performance in his very first regional event.

Romel was entered in the Sprint distance with 93 other athletes, all vying for the top spots at this prestigious Caribbean Triathlon event, undaunted

by his lack of race experience Romel acquitted himself in fine style placing 11th overall and 3rd in his age group.

Romels background in triathlon competitions is minimal, his very first swim/bike/run race was in the TriStar 33.3 event held here on Nevis at the end of March, where he placed 4th overall and 3rd in the male category, not a bad start to his Triathlon career.   

Romel was very pleased with his placing and his adventure in Tobago, and wishes to thank the SKN Triathlon Federation and the Nevis Island Administration for making the race possible.
