TriStar Nevis Attracting Stars - By Philippe Dutilleul
Imagine being on the Queen of the Caribbean Islands. that’s the island of Nevis. Imagine a race where an entire country will be your triathlon playground, that’s Nevis. Imagine racing next to the world's fastest 100 meters man, imagine racing next to a formula 1 driver, imagine racing next to the most accomplished triathlete of all times, imagine racing next to the coolest triathlete of the Caribbean. That’s Nevis!
Stop dreaming… join them on 2 April 2011 in Nevis. Kim Collins, Paul Belmondo, Chris Mc Cormack & Reginald Douglas, will celebrate with you the most beautiful race in the world. “Impossible is nothing” for Kim Collins, this is Kim’s motto since his epic victory at the World Championship in 2003. After a very close race where the the top four athletes finished within 0.02 seconds, Collins won and became the first ever World Champion from St Kitts and Nevis. This is your chance to measure yourself against one of the world’s fastest men. Don’t miss it.
Reginald Douglas has only one religion: racing. “I was born to race”, says Reggie when asked about his constant motivation and energy. Winner of the 2009 Nevis Triathlon and two times winner of the OECS Caribbean Triathlon Championship, Reggie is also the friendliest person you will ever meet. A down to earth champion who will be a tough competitor to beat.
Chris McCormack alias Macca, the best triathlete on the planet, will share his experience with you and also his usual good mood. He has already announced he will not come to Nevis for holidays. “I will be ready to compete with whoever might show up.". Chris never forgets that sport is a game, and he enjoys to stay healthy because health is one of the greatest gifts of life.
Paul Belmondo, ex professional racing driver who later became a theater and movie actor, loves the Caribbean. He knows that piece of the planet very well and is close to Nevis. He welcomes the opportunity to practice his sport in a corner of paradise, and that makes him happy! After competing at TriStar111 Monaco last September, Paul is thrilled to be amongst the first to inaugurate this race in one of the World's most beautiful spots.
