NEVIS CYCLE & TRIATHLON CLUB

Nevis Cycle & Triathlon Club members will be heading over to St Croix this coming weekend to compete in the gruelling Half-Ironman (70.3) Triathlon,. Reggie Douglas, Jessica Geist & Winston Crooke will be re-visiting this race, but for Sarah Petre-Mears, James Weekes, Keith Jones and Wendy Brear, this will be a first time for them competing over the distance of a 2km swim, 90km bike and 21km run. They will be competing with over 900 other athletes in their different age groups, a daunting task in this well established event that has been embraced by the people of St Croix whole heartedlly. For Reggie this will be a second opportunity to try to win a place to compete at the Hawaii Ironman, the most presigious long distance race in the world, so we all wish him well, and for the other athletes this will be a test of their fortitude and spirit. The club members wish to thanks their main sponsor Carino Health Spa for providing them with their new Triathlon bikes and uniforms, and will do their best to make all of Nevis proud.
