NEVIS CYCLE & TRIATHLON CLUB

The Carino Nevis Olympic Triathlon has now been sanctioned as an official OECS championship event, head of the OECS sports desk David Peterkin is pleased to see triathlon making its prescence felt in the region, and will be on hand to make the presentation to the first male and female OECS nationals. Nevis Cycle & Triathlon Club president Winston Crooke is very happy with the outcome of this bid to raise the stakes for the regional triathletes, and sees this as a good sign for the future of the sport throughout the Caribbean. Now in its fourth year and growing in popularity the Carino Nevis Triathlon will now offer a golden opportunity for regional athletes to gain further recognition and represent their nations. This will be the first of what is hoped to be an annual event that other member nations will seek to host in the future, and breaks new ground on the sports calendar of events.
